Decided to try this place last Saturday night.For Entree, we ordered the Waygu Beef Sushi, Tempura Vegetables and Takoyaki.If you are a big eater, then I suggest you order 2 of everything as the serving sizes are quite small.The 2 pieces of Waygu Beef were on a small amount of rice, measuring about 3 centimeters and did not even touch the sides.The Tempura Vegetables, were tasty, but the batter was a bit too thick.The Takoyaki (deep fried octopus balls) were delicious.For main course we ordered the House Special (for 2), which was a selection of sushi, sashimi and seaweed rice rolls. Can you imagine going to the same restaurant every Monday night for years. It would have to be good food and it was divine food. Best chicken Yakitori I have tasted. Best Beef Tataki I have tasted. Another chicken dish just melted in my mouth and the Wafu Beef was amazing. I cant remember the names of all the dishes we shared but everything they ordered was perfectly chosen and delicious. Even down to the yummy Japanese desserts.Now I know why they dine there every week.Just as well I live in Saigon or I would be joining them every week too. LolPS. Even though it was a cold Monday night in the beginning of October it was fully packed out so I guess that says something in itself.
My Tonkatsuya was mostly breadcrumbs without much pork (I suspect it was processed - it looked like a chicken nugget but thinner), chopped up with a small pot of bulk store plum sauce. That's it. $23. So upset. I could have bought one of those frozen things from Woolworths for a couple of bucks for the same feel. "Deluxe sashimi" was anything but deluxe. Rushed presentation and very little on the plate. Won't go back. Nice staff, but restaurant is simply too expensive for what I got.

Remarkable menu. Most of it was Japanese to me but some familiar dishes. all 3 of us chose the sizzling garlic prawns. Brilliant! Served sizzling on hotplate, excellent taste and so many prawns you have never seen on one plate. Excellent polite quick service.

place was very busy but service was quick and efficient, menu was not innovative but they served fresh, traditional food in large serves. wine list was reasonable but not enough wines by the glass. would certainly recommend it.
