I am a great fan of waffeln, so I was really excited to visit max flammer. I ordered a simple waffel and added ice, marshmallows and chocolate sauce. it was really good when the outside of the waffel was crisp and the inner was soft. there was also a generous amount of chocolate sauce of the service here was the downfall. I had to repeat myself several times while I gave my order. my friend ordered the Tutti-Frutti waffle and was served like what I ordered. the staff went back to get the bananas and berries, but until they had delivered a lot of their ice cream melted and they had eaten the half of the waffel. the venue was also not busy so that I...read more

Joining other well-known names like Zeus, Three Blue Ducks and Messina to the area, Max Brenner have opened up shop in the Rosebery end of Alexandria in Doody street, under their head office and distribution center. The staff are incredibly friendly but Im sad to see the coffee is over extracted and bitter, and the giant truffles aren't so giant anymore. Points for the added chocolate swirls in my takeaway box to try and jazz it up. crumbs-au.com

Delicious food but sad to say that customer service is poor. The few times I have been they have been understaffed on busy nights and we had been told we had to wait 10 minutes for our order to be taken due to insufficient table numbers. Otherwise, lovely cafe space and food/drinks. Réservez une table maintenant

It’s a good store with really good hot chocolate, tried their Italian thick dark chocolate and it was great. However it gets a bit busy and sometimes the waiter forgets the order. It took us 30min to get our order as they’ve forgotten about us...

feel like max burner is somewhat overrated. they have many menu options (prices) and some dinge are overly sweet. kekse and cream shake is good if they want to cold something to satisfy their dessert, and tutti frutti tend to be good.

Classic hot chocolate is very simple. Trutti-Fruitty Waffle is the best. It’s a crispy chewy Belgian waffle topped with milk chocolate sauce and served with ice cream, fresh strawberries and bananas.

For all things chocolately it was awesome. The service wasn't what I'd call awesome though. End of the day however the food made up for it. Réservez une table maintenant

Smaller than the usual ones in the city, this one is right in the heart of Newtown, perfect for an after lunch/dinner visit.
