We had cocktails at the bar last night. The best thing to do with Max's next to the service and quality is by far the best... You can park in the City Place Garage and you will validate your parking ticket. It rained last night, so we parked and never went out. We arrived at 9:00 and the bar had a nice little crowd. The couple in the picture had drinks at Max's before we met for dinner and they have a great happy hour. You said the bar was full. So I ordered my Aper Sprayol and they all had their Bourbons. A great graduation for the evening and it was nice to see people in Hartford last night in this hour.
max dt was my favorite. the quality of the food has left the hill of my last two visits. last night, three of us ordered the prime hanger steak special. they were not edible. our reservation was for 6:15 o'clock. we had 8 theater tickets. our escapes came only at 7:30 a.m.! they were not busy. the manager apologised for the bad quality of the steaks and offered a replacement. Unfortunately, we had no time to wait for everything to be prepared. very disappointing for a high-end restaurant.

I like Max's meals, I had shrimp there a few months ago and it was delicious (close my eyes delicious). Well, of course I'd go back there. In my second attempt, the shrimps were not as fresh as the first time, but it was okay. I ordered salad, so my rating is a 4, I eat with my eyes, so presentation is everything. The salad did not look appetizing and there was not the tasty taste I wanted. But I'll give another 3 attempt.
This is a great place to gather with friends and family for a good meal and a few liberations. The staff was excellent as far as the service goes and the kitchen was very courteous because we had to change a number of dishes to food allergies. Even if you attend an event at the XL Center, this is with its location directly above the road. Give this place an attempt to tell them that the New Jersey family sent you.
We had the tuna nicoise tartare for a starter, the Jumbo Sea Scallops and Aged New York Strip with asparagus for entrees, the Chocolate Molten Souffle for dessert and the Local Lemonade and Jack of Hearts for cocktails. Everything was superb; absolutely delicious. In fact, I've never had a steak so tender and juicy before. The souffle was heaven. Truly a 5 star experience!
Perfect place for an upscale dinner before theater. Our server mentioned the note I had left in the Open Table app regarding the 8 pm curtain, and he made sure that we were on time. We had skirt steak and a venison special, both of which were delicious. There is an excellent wine list, service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Excellent service and the food was well prepared. We enjoyed our leisurely lunch and chatting with the waiter who was quite interesting!
