If you go to Helena and want a delicious meal and an impeccable wine list it would be a travesty not to visit the Meditarranean Grill. I came in the middle of a winter snowstorm, and wasn't immediately blown away by the setting or one of the over the top bars. Once I opened the menu and wine list I was pleasantly surprised. The owner must be a connoisseur of sorts, as the wines were extensive, and the brick oven baked pasta and Veal Romana were absolutely delicious.Being new to Helena our waitress humored our excited chatter about moving in a snowstorm, and the second we moved a plate to the side she was there to replace it. The peacefulness and relaxation with the vino was much needed at the end of the day. I could see why she said the place is much busier in the warmer summer months, but it made my night after a day of work.Thanks for the great service and attentiveness, as well as the beautiful food.
we started with 3 rehearsals that were dipped, pitta brot. all very good. we also have schish kabob steak. it took an hour to get our food, but the rehearsals need to be cured and we also got suppensalat that helped supplement. I have the tomato basilikum soup, which was the best tomato soup I ever had, and they served it was also a delicious brot. we also had an excellent service in the middle time, with friendly staff and a attentive waitress. When eating finally arrived, it was worth waiting. my man prefer to be meat rare, it was done perfectly. by lamm was delicious. we cut it off with kunafa, my favorite dessert from overseas. it was definitiw missing most of the cheese, drown in sirup, but the taste and crunch was all there. Apart from the waiting lamp it would be a 5/5 place for me. would go back there again.
Sunday brunch is kind of a joke now used to be pretty good no more pizza no more babaganoush no more tabbouleh salad no more flat bread. The seafood chowder has very little flavor now tastes like it was thrown together on Friday and they're trying to get rid of it on Sunday. I was there 45 minutes showed up half the plates on the buffet were empty never got refilled. I guess if you go early when they first open your doing okay but anytime after noon forget it.
I was blown away by the quality of the food here. The menu is expansive and the staff was fantastic. My only regret is that I couldn't try more of the amazing dishes I saw on their menu, but I'll definitely be back soon to try stuff out. This place would be ideal for a date or any special occasion.
