So I have been going to this place for months and the food there is absolutely amazing. So I’m not going to even knock them on the food, the place is clean, well organized, and decent prices for the food. But today left a real nasty taste in my mouth, I’m not sure who the new cashier person is but she has a very nasty attitude and it can be much of a turn off from not looking to patron there anymore. Her responses were so off putting, short, and snappy. I ordered a curry chicken meal and simply wanted another piece of plantain which I did not think would break the bank or their inventory. Even though this place is less than 10 minutes away, they consistently take over an hour and a half to deliver my food, regardless of how simple my order is. They've often been out of items I requested, forcing me to either accept substitutions or go without. On one occasion, I only found out about a replacement item after calling them to ask why my food was delayed. How have they been in business for years without sorting these issues out? You might wonder why I keep ordering from them. The food is decent—certainly not great enough to justify these constant frustrations, but still enjoyable. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed that I probably won’t return. I sometimes order food here, since I live in the neighborhood, but the service was extra poor, and my food order was wrong–even though I clearly stated what I wanted. The woman had an attitude and seemed like i was disrupting her day when I entered. They were out of a lot of food, including my favorite patties, so I said I’d get the j chicken patties. Instead, I come home with veggie patties. The white rice was my substitute for their sold out peas and rice, but it was salty and hard. The food quality is quite poor. The meat is either overly fatty, overcooked, or even undercooked. The customer service leaves much to be desired. They mixed up my order, and when I called to resolve the issue, they offered no real solutions. They completely messed up my entire order, and instead of a refund or an exchange, I was just given the runaround. There are definitely much better options for Caribbean food in Queens than this place. I would not recommend it at all to anyone looking for value for their money. Réservez une table maintenant
This food is phenomenal, I always get great customer service from everyone there. This is authentic jamaican food feels like i am in montego bay at my friends Anna Kayes kitchen eating Sunday Dinner. The oxtails are to die for. The rice is delicious the cabbage is so good. I work at Riker’s and this is my to go lunch spot. Its well worth the price.
Food was salty and mediocre at best. Asked guy for an additional container and he said his boss counts the dishes and if one is missing they assume it was sold. Beef patty tasted artificial like it came from a frozen stock. Save your money and go elsewhere.Vegetarian options: Not limited no meat options . Like I said save your money
