I'm going to the coffee here two or three times a week. sometimes I stay, but usually I take a back to my office around the corner. if I stay in me, sometimes I will be tempted to a dead and jam! I was one of the first customers to review merlins when it opened several years ago under new management. Since then, the hands have changed again. jenny and their employees work really hard and they will never be freshly brewed or cooked eating everywhere. merlins is casual, unpretentious and really friendly. Very seldom do all the breakfast planets align but my Friend and I decided to take Breakfast following a business meeting at this cafe. What an absolute gem it really is. The breakfast was absolutely delightful and very very good value for money. All the...items tasted fantastic and We were greeted by the very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. A peaceful location set in idyllic surroundings. Don’t be put off by the fact it’s on a business park. It’s well worth a small detour off the main roads if you need to stop off somewhere. The black pudding, in my friends words, was the best he’s ever tasted and was cooked to perfection.
I will never buy anything from this restaurant again. Today, I ordered a ham salad sandwich that I planned to eat later. I specifically asked for no cucumber, but there were still some in the sandwich which I had to remove. The salad consisted of just a few slices of tomato and a few leaves. The piece of boiled ham was small and the bread was dry and stale. The server had a rude attitude as well. I will not be returning and will advise my friends to do the same. Even chain shops like Greggs make better sandwiches with more ingredients.
After a period of uncertainty, it's reassuring to see that this hidden gem is still open for business. The food quality is still excellent, and the service provided by the friendly young staff is top-notch. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, this restaurant continues to thrive. I feel confident in the safety measures in place, which surpass those of other cafes. Keep up the great work, I'll definitely be back for more.

Came here for lunch today with my boyfriend, we were greated by a lovely member of staff called Linda who showed us to our table. Linda recommended Merlin’s special of the day which was salt and pepper chicken. We both ordered it and were not...disappointed, the flavors were just right, we will be back very soon! Emma Martin
such a beautiful atmosphere with beautiful, tasty eating and a great selection of specialties. and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their cake, often on Wednesday, and their chickenburgers on Monday! eat them in or take them away!
Came here for lunch with my mum , I had the chicken curry , mum had item breakfast , good value for money . Waited mins for our drink then told they couldn’t do the drinks we wanted . Was very busy ....Wouldn’t put us off coming back
great place to eat ,spacious,clean and friendly staff. Food served hot and very good quality,whilst on a industrial estate this cafe could grace any high street !
