Bad experience here today. I have been a fairly regular patron (about 50 times a year) at this restaurant for the past decade. Over the last couple of months there have been changes and not for the best. A firecracker burger to go had no sauce or crispy onions on it. A glass of water with lipstick on the rim and burned kapow shrimp that were actually delivered to our table. But today was the worst. When our burgers arrived without sauce, we asked about it. The waitress brought a young man to our table and he pointed out to us that we had our choice of sauces on the table. We have been to Montana's several times over the years and each time I hope for better. The food is usually good but the management policy of making EVERYONE wait to be seated even when many tables are free is just plain stupid. I feel sorry for the staff that work at this place. They have to check that their cook isn't "overwhelmed" such that their kitchen won't crash. They deal with many people waiting at the front getting frustrated but can't seat people until they are given the "ok" because they are afraid "he" will freak out. Just plain stupid to make your customers wait because the kitchen can't take the demand. I honestly hate going to Montana's now because of the way they handle this...
Since when did franchises stop having to be consistent? We went to Montana's for supper and were appalled by the service and food. It wasn't that busy (we got there before the supper rush) but it still took over 10 minutes to seat us. We had to call over a waitress to take our drink order (which she got wrong), our food came out cold and old (baked potato was so cold butter wouldn't melt) we would have loved to tell our waitress our issues with the food, but she didn't come back until we asked for the bill. Took some business clients for dinner. Service was slow from the moment we were seated and it wasn't even busy.After ordering our first beverages we were engaged in business conversation before looking at the menus, this seemed to really irritate our server and she definetaly let us know it with her attitude and posture. I was embarrassed in front of my clients to the point I recommended we switch venues.Will never visit this establishment again.Also she screwed up our initial drink orders even though we were only 4 people with simple requests.
Needed something to eat after an afternoon on the golf course. On a whim we decided to stop at Montana's and after wards we did not regret it. We were seated fast and a server was with us fast. Order went in quick and plates were delivered with in 20 minutes. Food was tasty and we had no room left for dessert. The menu looked interesting enough to go back for an other visit.
Tried the quesadilla burger on the specials menu. Two sad and limp quesadillas sandwich get a grey, overcooked burger patty. Waiter claimed it was a sirloin burger but hard to believe. Montana is also going back to the 1960s with salad dressing limited to Italian, blue cheese and something similar.
