Was visiting Austin and looking for somewhere that serves shrimp po boys! I'm so happy we found this place! We ordered the gator bites as an appetizer and they were crispy and fresh. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tenders with fries which he loved andfilled up on. I got my shrimp po boy and was absolutely satisfied! I wish I didn't live so far I would have ordered one to go!There was a sign on the door that said short staffed but our server was very attentive and friendly.
I had my first visit to this restaurant and it certainly lived up to my expectations. Since breakfast was still being served, I decided to try the three pigs omelette. If you enjoy hearty, meaty omelettes, I highly recommend it. The restaurant was quite busy, which is always a positive sign. I’ll definitely come back here when I'm in the area and looking for a good meal.
Chicken fried steak was huge and pretty good. Do not order any gumbo or etouffee to go though, the portions are tiny! I've ordered dine in for both dishes and the difference there is when you order them to go is beyond ridiculous. I felt so rippedoff, I wish I would've remembered to take pictures of them. Service was great though.
There was a red head that was not our waitress that kept rudely grabbing trash off our table, it was disruptive and disrespectful. I completed my meal, but just set my napkin down and she picked it up, I felt rushed and really offended as she was not our waitress. Never once did she ask if she could take things or say excuse me. I absolutely love their Gambino's French bread, which they import from New Orleans. However, they could be a bit more generous with the filling in the muffaletta. The crawfish dip, on the other hand, was fantastic. The only dish I managed to photograph tonight was the chocolate cheesecake, and it was delicious!
I had the beer battered catfish. The pieces were too thick, I prefer it to be cut thinner. I didn't think it was very good. We have been coming here many times and enjoy other dishes. We will be back to try something else soon. Thank you for the free fried pickles. They were delicious.
This place is always amazing. Food was perfectly cooked and the hurricane drinks are so amazing I have to come in because I crave them. Make sure you leave room for the Bread Pudding. It's the best I have ever had. We always order a second one to go so we will have it for the next day.
This location is busier than the one in Leander, and I missed the quiet. The food was still good and service was mostly attentive (my waitress forgot to add my dessert to my ticket, so it took awhile for that to be corrected and to pay).
