We tried out Mr Chow's for New Years Eve and were not disappointed. The food was terrific. I think we over-ordered but hey, a bit of gluttony at the end of 2016, who can blame us? Peking Duck was delicious. Also the mixed seafood and crispy rice was a wonderful experience. It was also fun to head down to Millers point as it's not often a spot I head to. I have heard people complain of the service, it was a bit aloof but that was fine with me, one of the waitresses had minimal English so that would be hard for her and I did detect different level of service for different customers. I noted the large Chinese table brought in wine, so this is a good tip for next time- BYO. Overall we had a really good night and were glad we made the trip.
Été ici à plusieurs reprises pour le dîner, le service est toujours attentif et la nourriture est toujours cohérente. C'est l'emplacement est abit d'un gemme caché. Toujours réussir à trouver un parc juste à l'extérieur du restaurant. Si vous êtes assis à la fenêtre, vous obtenez une vue magnifique sur le port, idéal pour un nite romantique. Ils sont célèbres pour leur canard entièrement fumé qui est servi tranché avec des petits pains à vapeur. Je peux voir que ce plat est pour ceux d'un goût acquis, car je n'étais pas fan la première fois que je l'avais mais que je l'aime maintenant. La saveur de fumée est assez forte. Le poulet ivre est un plat chinois traditionnel et ils le rendent très bien. Toujours heureux d'aller ici.
Every time I go to Mr Chow's it is not busy. Yes it is out of the way, but the food (and service) is fantastic so I can't understand why this restaurant is not packed each lunch or dinner. The service is Ok - nothing flash but the quality of the food is superb especially the Peking Duck, Duck Soup, San Chow Bow, Chicken, Dim Sums etc. Definitely give this restaurant a try and see for yourself.
