Right off the top, this review and rating are limited solely to the pizza, and even more specifically the crust. My sis and bro in law came into the city and suggested lunch at Mr Ribs because it is a block from my place. I have eaten there before--a long time ago because I usually eat at home--and the food has always been good.Sis told me to have a piece of her pizza as she wasn't hungry enough to eat the whole thing herself (an 8 or 10 inch pizza it was).The first thing that LEAPT out at me was the crust. It is indescribable, the best I can do is to say that it was soft but not doughy The outer edge, too, was not the crunchy texture that one associates with pizza crust. Perfect consistency...
I hadn't been here in about a decade. The place is a little off the beaten path, tucked away in a residential area in a small strip mall. The decor is good and there has been a recent renovation. Our food had very generous portions and came with soup and salad. I had greek riblets, which were fantastic. Everyone's meal was prepared properly and no complaints on the taste. The menu had a wide array of choices with something to suit every one. Our service was quick and attentive. Our male server was a true professional. I went with a group of friends, none of us have been there in several years. We all remember it had great food but not sure why we haven't come back in a while. Its the extremely slow service. It took over an hour to get our food. In an 3 hour supper I only got 3 coffee refills and two because we flagged down the waitress. Some of the beer drinkers were unhappy because she rarely came around and had only two beer. The pop drinkers only had one refill . We were talking for over a half hour by time we asked for the check. We never got it we went to the till long time after to pay. The waitress was texting half the time. Some of the prices were wrong at least that got fixed. Food was good. But...
Wow. We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of my brother-in-law and what a find. The service for a Victoria Day weekend was good. The food was outstanding. I had pizza and my husband dry ribs and caesar salad. The pizza crust and sauce were in- restaurant made. All of the other ingredients were very fresh. It was one of the best pizzas I have had in a very long time. My husbands meal was very good as well. Excellent value for the money as well. Large portions and served piping hot. Great for the next days lunch. Would highly recommend it. Enjoy
This was the final meal that my wife and I had while in Saskatchewan and it was an awesome choice! We had a pepperoni pizza, caesar salad, and garlic toast with beverages and it was delicious. The service was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend a meal at Mr. Ribs!
