Ms. Gwen's is a homey place found on the way to the Go-Karts off 209. While my kids were enjoying the Go-Kart track, I took a walk to Ms. Gwen's for an order of fish chips with a side of coleslaw. Ms. Gwen's did not disappoint in size nor price. The portion was generous, the fish perfectly seasoned, the fries expertly prepared, and the coleslaw was the best I've had in months. I highly recommend giving Ms. Gwen's place a try, and I predict that once you've eaten there you'll want to back again (and again). P.s. Don't forget to take a piece of carrot cake for dessert (they serve an extra large portion for only $5). Ms. Gwen's is well worth the trip for lunch or dinner.
I typically order the catfish and shrimp combo with rice, and everything is delicious. I would eat here every day if I could. The experience is always enjoyable, and the fantastic hospitality makes it feel great to support such a deserving business. Honestly, why am I even sitting here writing a review? I need to hurry and place my order before they close at 8 PM. Wishing much success to Ms. Gwenn’s! Time to go get my food!
I had no idea this place was here until today. The fried shrimp is hands down the best I've ever tasted, and the cake is huge—about the size of a dinner plate—for just $5! This will definitely be my new spot for lunch. The person cooking and managing the register was fantastic as well. Highly recommended!
We dropped by for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The breaded cod was perfectly cooked, and the staff was incredibly friendly! The coleslaw was also tasty. We're really happy to have discovered this place. Highly recommend it!
