Firstly my key recommendation: Make a reservation! (this place always seems to be busy/full We’ve passed the Niederhutklause many many times over the years, it being located in one of the main pedestrian streets in the centre of the oldtown of Ahrweiler. We had luck one midweek lunchtime managed to get a table for two (it was the last one! , and this in January. Since the first visit of the Niederhutklause we have returned a number of times to not be disappointed. The biggest challenge was if without reservation, happy enough to get a table. Absolutely delicious!! The original restaurant was totally reserved so they told us to lift the road to 2.0. We immediately reserved a table – that was the best we did all day! The food was excellent! Service was great... beautiful ambience... Food came out quickly... I have the lava stone mixture that was excellent! There were 4 of us, no one was disappointed! Best steak I had in Germany!
It is definately a cozy restaurant with friendly atmosphere and excellent food! We were lucky to find a table after 5 minutes. The waiter very friendly and the service prompt. There is a wide selection of gooses in the menu and everything we ate was very tasty and of good quality! Steaks, schnitzel and a very nice roasted cocoa butter. I will certainly recommend it!
