Ate here at the recommendation of friends who are regulars. I got the scallop yaki udon with miso soup. Scallop was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Our group also ordered Japanese curry, Thai fried rice, teriyaki, gyoza, chicken Thai basil, and Japanese noodles, and I sampled some of their dishes. Everything was good. Prices are reasonable. Mixing the Japanese curry with the Thai fried rice creates a delicious flavor explosion in your mouth. I’d say that the difference between yaki udon (chewy thick wheat noodles) and the Japanese noodles (egg noodles the thickness of spaghetti) is analogous to the difference between chow fun and chow mein. Niji is one of my favorite spots in the area. Their sushi is amazing, and their noodle dishes like pad thai and yaki udon are absolutely delicious. I visit at least twice a month. The food is of such high quality, and the owners are wonderful people — always friendly and smiling, making you feel truly welcomed. Service: Takeout Meal type: Dinner.
