Hubby and I ate here for the first time. I had the gyros plate, one of the best gyros I've had in Illinois outside of downtown Chicago. Hubby had the Italian beef and said its better than Portillos or Buona. Portions were large, and filling, we added cheese sticks and they were good as well. The fries that came with my meal were delicious, fresh and still tasted good when they cooled. We split a baklava for desert and it was a sugary honey heaven in my mouth. We will definitely be back!
There is nothing not to like about this family owned restaurant. The owners make you feel like family. The food is delicious, as close to homemade as possible. They give you a good portion size so we always have leftovers. For the amount of food given, their prices are very resonable and we usually have leftovers. We have been catering our parties since moving to Vernon Hills in 2012. And to be honest, we order very frequently, on those days nobody wants to cook. A great place by far!
They're the closest diner to our house. That's really handy because the food is great. I've worked my way thru the menu and enjoyed everything. I always just drive over and wait for preparation. I always get a full dinner and it takes just a few minutes. Pleasant people, lots of menu variety.
