Amazing experience from beginning to end. The rooms are wonderfully and tastefully appointed. The conference facilities are charming definitely a different feel than most other conference centers. And as a wedding facility, this place would be awesome. The restaurant is delicious, however keep in mind there is NOTHING else within walking distance really so ideally, travelers would have a car. I did walk down the road to find some food which was quite a journey. There is adequate uber availability and the facility does have some drivers, but I did not make use of them. And for those with a car, there is plenty of variety. Blue Bell is absolutely a lovely part of Pennsylvania. Rates seemed very fair for the quality.
I have been staying here once a year for a work conference, and we will not be returning. This hotel is clean, has its charm, and the staff is great. However, the air is extremely humid with mildew smells. The rooms are clean, but very moist and smell terrible. The beds are old and have body indentations from usage. It is very uncomfortable to try and sleep at night. Carpet, drapes, and bed sheets are damp. The air conditioning unit sounds like a Mack truck shifting gears at night. The conference rooms were fine and met our needs. The food is really awful, and they keep serving the same meats and sides for lunches and dinners. Again, staff is great, but we can no longer bear the food, humidity and smell.
3 stays over 6 months, consistent experience. Pretty surroundings. I do not consider this a resort at all! The daily resort fee was not disclosed when we reserved. Dated room decor, old AC units in rooms are loud, very old carpeting feels sticky. Mildew smell throughout. It 's a popular wedding venue with drunk people around on weekend evenings getting really loud after 10pm, spilling drinks all around, gathering and smoking directly in front of the entrance.
