First visit here, it was around lunch 1pm on a Sunday, quite crowded but food took even longer than I'd expect. Food didn't come out together at once but rather random. Was told it was an off day and that's not normal. Staff was nice and offered to comp my meal since my party was nearly done before I even got mine. The food itself, I got the special menu pecan pancakes. The caramel sauce was amazing and tasted homemade. I personally didnt care for the pumpkin mousse so I'm glad I asked for it on the side. Breakfast taco was disappointing. My daughter got huevos rancheros and enjoyed it. She asked for the chipotle sauce on the side, I wouldn't have enjoyed it all over the food personally but...
This place is excellent. The staff we are polite and helpful, even if our children were good. We're just in town for a few days, and we have a mess in this place, but it was a good experience. We had the spinach salad, vegan reubs, pancakes and a burger, so there was definitely something for everyone. Our two-year-old had a side of potatoes they enjoyed. Their selection of wine and bourbon was great, and I had my first (and quite positive) experience with Kentucky Bourbon. In any case, this place would recommend.
A very local environment where every guest feels welcome! Each seat has its aesthetics, whether inside or outside. The menu selection is uncomplicated with the possibility of replacing food (as for toast instead of pancakes). Everything is freshly made and portioned to not make you full, but satisfied. The **** Mary is very well done here and it had exactly the right amount of spices... Mimosas are also a great hit here! A perfect place for early breakfast or a get-together brunch- highly recommended!
Waitress was very helpful and patient with us since we were visiting for the first time. We tried multiple breakfast items. I ordered the Meat Omelet which included shredded pork and ancho chili sauce. It was very good and I would order it again. We also tried the egg sandwich (be clear which bun you would like we had a slight mix up and then the melted cheese was on the wrong bun), biscuits and gravy- were good and would order again, plain pancake, and special pancake-very rich almost like a dessert. this restaurant has not disappointed! the breakfast spiced with tofu and burger. made from scratch biscuit with vegan mushroom engraving surpassed my expectations and was the epitome of comfort food. very diverse menu, the carnivores (meat and breakfast burritos were suitable for dying) and vegans alike. gluten-free pancakes were the best I ever had. in any case one must try!
Good atmosphere, good food. Service was just alright. Didn't feel welcome when walked in. Didn't feel the lady bartender was all that friendly. She forgot to place my order, so I had to wait lot longer while my friends ate. I didn't say a word about it until now. I've been to better and prefer better.
This is our FAVORITE breakfast place!! The waiting staff is excellent. Great local coffee and food. Special pancakes change weekly. Love the maize beef haash and hayvos rancheros, but the egg tacos are divine. Dinner is also good and the atmosphere is hip as an eye. Love North End Cafe!
