As for COVID-19 vaccination proof, the restaurant does not currently require it. When I visited to pick up my food after work a few days ago, I inquired about any special offers, but they didn't have any available at that time, and there is no happy hour currently. Additionally, pets are not allowed unless they are service animals. Regarding parking, the lot is shared with other businesses, including a supermarket, so I recommend avoiding weekends, as finding a spot can be quite challenging. Craving for some Chinese pies, decided to order from this northern Chinese Cafe. I was going to order online, however, the menu was not complete. In the end, I called. I ordered noodle w/ bean paste 炸酱面 , pork pancake, juicy pork dumpling 小笼包 , beef roll, and pan fried pork dumpling. Their noodle was amazing, thin and chewy, the meat sauce tasted delicious. The pork pancake was superb, juicy meat w/ thin crust. However, the pan fried dumpling and juicy pork dumpling were not up to par, the skin was too thick, and no meat juice in them, very dry. The beef roll was fine, crust and meat were good. I will definitely get the noodle and pancake again.
I had to stop visiting this restaurant because everyone tends to overeat! It's a good problem to have, though, as the food is quite delicious. If you have kids—especially a lot of them—or a large group, you can reserve a room and just relax. They offer hotpot and unlimited noodles, which is fantastic. The food is served quickly, but be sure to order the XLB (soup dumplings) in advance since they take a bit longer to prepare. The service is great too; they usually have three waitstaff to keep everything running smoothly. It would be nice if they had some beers on tap, however! Instead, I tried their standard fried rice, which included turkey sausage (possibly pork, but I couldn't tell) and ham cubes. It tasted as though they simply tossed everything into the box with some egg, without any sauce or spices. It barely seemed to have touched a wok, if at all. It was completely flavorless. To make matters worse, they even charged an extra $2.25 to serve it without shrimp! For $12, it felt like a huge waste of money. I could have easily ordered some delicious gourmet food delivered to the auto shop for that price. I would recommend avoiding this place entirely. Weak experience overall.
My friend placed an online order for takeout, and when she arrived 30 minutes later, it was ready for pickup! We ordered beef noodle soup, Szechuan beef and tripe, and the pork pancake. Everything was delicious! My favorite was the pork pancake. A quick tip: don’t order the pork pancake to go, as it tends to get soggy. It likely tastes best when enjoyed at the restaurant. I really love all of Northern Cafe's noodles, dumplings, and xiaolongbao!
Found this place that serves sesame green onion bread, which was delicious!!! The other dishes were also tasty. Wasn't expecting the pork hock to be deep fried, but it was meaty and the skin was very crunchy. Not cheap; we paid over $70 with tip for the two of us. Chinese food has gotten to be too expensive!!!
My kids recommended this place so I gave it a try. The place was clean and spacious, the food taste fresh. I can't comment too much about their services because there wasn't a lot to be served. I noticed that they do have 2 VIP rooms, and the minimum is reasonable. I like this restaurant and I will come back. Réservez une table maintenant
