The restaurant had a slightly unclean appearance. The owner was friendly and it had a nice hometown vibe. I suspect that the other dishes on the menu would be much more enjoyable than the basic breakfast I ordered. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the toast was buttered just as I requested. However, I wasn't a fan of the sausage or the bland hash browns. One downside is that there are no physical menus; you have to look them up online. They also use paper straws. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere feels quite liberal, reminiscent of Wesleyan University, which is located nearby.
People should definitely take the time to visit O'Rourke's right now. Although only 3-4 tables are available and the menu is limited, if you request a special surprise, you won't be disappointed. They are doing their utmost during COVID, and we just had a fantastic breakfast that truly exceeded our expectations. I couldn't be happier! I ordered the surprise meal and received something I would never normally choose, but it turned out to be delicious. It was eggs stuffed in a potato topped with hash and red sauce, along with potato lasagna. Absolutely delightful!
I always go with something in mind and end of eating something completely different and loving it! They are truly excellent chefs and their experience shows in their gourmet food. So many interesting combinations of flavors and textures. If you are open minded and love food, you will be pleasantly surprised! I feel spoiled everytime I go. I would eat out of that man's dumpster! Lol!
Bring cash, the only way to pay with credit is by loading an App on your phone and selecting the menu items to create your own bill, I was in a rush, and paying took longer than eating Food was really good !! Idk how much it cost!! The waiter had to scan the QR code and pay via his personal phone, and he went pretty quick. He did show me he deleted my CCard data, so all good

Traditional Irish cuisine at its finest! This is my go-to breakfast place in Connecticut. The He-Man dish is absolutely delicious, and there's so much food that you’ll definitely need a take-home box. It comes with eggs, your choice of meat, potatoes, and pancakes. There's often a line out the door, but it's worth the wait for such perfection.
This charming little retro diner offers delicious homemade treats. It has quickly become our go-to spot for breakfast on our way to the beach. I especially love their specials, and the veggie hash is my favorite!
Best breakfast place around. Great coffee. Great service and atmosphere. Every meal has been delicious. Please support them especially during this time with so many corona closings.
I always order Brian's breakfast. You never know what to expect until he brings it to you and explains what each dish is. It's consistently amazing and completely one-of-a-kind!
