We get together here every three months with friends. Yesterday, we treated ourselves to a $50 Scotch fillet, and I have to say, as a sous vide enthusiast who loves cooking that way at home, the chef truly nailed my rare fillet. Another person at our table had a medium rare, and it was equally impressive. The char grill added a wonderful touch that I can't replicate at home—it was simply fantastic! The fries were a bit lukewarm (but honestly, who cares?) because the steak was the star of the meal. Others at the table ordered steak and chips and the Wednesday special, chicken parmigiana, and they all enjoyed their dishes as well. Nice pub, but two of our guests ordered the steak special Not sure what was special about it,,, it was ridiculously tough, seriously people,,,.., test the steak first before you try and sell it It was sent back for a different steak, no offer to adjust the price,,,.. one would have thought that if you presented a below standard meal you would have done a little more than say how was the next steak. Anyway, take it on board if you care to. Price per person: A$180–200

An old styled pub that serves amazing food! We had a group of 10 that decreased , then increased , we were very late for our booking but nothing was a drama ... So far the best steaks on high street all 9 dishes were to rave about and not to mention the 1.5 L of red wine in offer for an excellent price . Well done!

I paid $7.50 for a can of Guinness, enjoyed by an open fire and served by down-to-earth bartenders—no pretentiousness here! I give it a 5-star rating and will definitely come back. I lived just across the street for two years and never visited, and I really regret that now! Réservez une table maintenant

Amazing service on our special night out. The waiter went out of her way to make it fun and relaxed for us. Great steak. Nice wines. The salad was way overdressed though. Price per person: A$40–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Food was fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and accommodating. My salt and pepper calamari were tender and tasty, and the beer selections are fantastic.

This is a fantastic local pub! The Thursday night meat raffle is a popular attraction. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars!

Incredible meal, the Blue Eye with tomato and olive salsa was delish, the staff were attentive, and the owner was very chatty, highly recommended  : Réservez une table maintenant

Loving the new owners. Good pub food. Not pretentious. Everything a local should be. The new owners are bringing back authenticity to the local pub.
