Decided to try Oswego Grill this week. Overall the food was good though the Parmesan wafer on the special was stale. The Salad was fresh and tasty, and the prime rib was delicious. The mash potatoes were over done almost paste like. We ended with 2 desserts the special bread pudding was good, but had an icing on it that made it almost sickly sweet. The brownie was decent. What kind of ruined the place was how loud it was, and that the bar tv’s made it seem more like a sports bar then an upscale dining establishment. So go with friends, but skip it for date night and go somewhere where you can actually talk and hear each other.
Our steak was so salty we had to return it! We came in at a not so busy hour, the restaurant was sparsely populated. We ordered our food and got our appetizers pretty quick. We then had to wait a really long time for our entrees much longer than we should have since the restaurant was not very busy. When we got our entrees, one of the steaks, the Ribeye, was so salty we couldn’t eat it. We sent it back and waited for so long for the new dish to arrive, that the other person was already done with their meal when th new steak arrived. The whole meal was out of sync. We will not be returning.
First time dining at this location. Reservation’s recommended. The service (thank you Gina) and the meal were excellent. Bottle of wine appetizer entree and even desserts!! Each course was delicious. It’s been a long time since we have had such a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely be returning.
