Called in for breakfast on a Saturday morning but found the menu very limited so just ordered a coffee and slice of raisin toast. Raisin toast was standard considering all the lovely local eateries in McLaren vale. The coffee on the other hand was terrible. The milk was totally scalded to the point we couldn't drink the coffee. We were in a bit of a hurry so just left it without complaining which I know doesn't give them a problem to rectify it but how a quality cafe/winery can produce such an atrocious cup of coffee is beyond me. We used to go here every Saturday and the menu and coffee was great. Come on Oxenberry, whatever has changed needs to change back or we won't be back.

We attended a private function here with a number of friends. We had our own function room which was newly fitted out. Good view from the many windows. The food and the wine selection was exemplary. Lots of tasty finger food which was ample enough to soak up the white wine, red wine, white bubbles and red bubbles of which there were copious amounts. I would recommend to anyone for a function be it a birthday, wedding or other special occasion. I didn't count how many people were there but i would guess about 80. We also spread out to the bar at the rear later which was well stocked and manned.
A group of 12 people went here early November 2016 for a bus trip for a 50th Birthday. Between all of us we spent almost $1000 in food and wine but were then asked for a $10 per head tasting fee which they then discounted by $5 per head as we bought wine. Thought this was a bit rich given we spent so much as it would not have cost a thing if we drove in off the street as couples but as a group on a bus we were charged. I would have understood if we didn't buy anything but poor form guys we wont be back nor anyone else we speak to
Dropped in for light lunch and a glass of wine. Sitting at a bench outside we had the Tempranillo and the Pedlers Shiraz, nice wines. Ordered the medium antipasto platter which was nice but for $40 it was a bit light on in the cheese and cured meats department. There's not a lot to look at outside, inside there looks to be a nice spot with couches in front of an open fire which would be great on a cold day. This place seems to attract quite a few families with kids as they have a gelati bar. Réservez une table maintenant
Oxenberry can't make up it's mind if it's a cafè or a wine tasting venue, so it does both, poorly. The decor is eclectic, but not in the good way. The food prices itself at gourmet level and delivers at local deli level. A fire place at one end and an icecream freezer at the other end sums this place up nicely.According to friends, the wine was nice, which is a good start for a winery, but is that what this place is?
Visited on a sunny Thursday afternoon and was greeted by the enthusiastic Kelly who was amazing at providing us with information about the wine and provided a friendly atmosphere. We ordered coffee afterwards and Simone from Italy gave us a fascinating account of the beans and lovely conversation. Highly, highly recommend this place.
Oxenberry has been around for many years & is a good spot to stop for afternoon tea. You can sit at tables outside if the weather is suitable or inside if it's cold, wet or too windy.
Great spot. Light meals, lovely coffee and delicious wine. The place is right next to a walking track and is a perfect stopping off point for a little refreshment! Réservez une table maintenant
We enjoyed the terrace with a lovely view into the wineyards. The wine and the sandwich (manwich) was excellent. We highly recommend it.
