Packing House Neighbourhood

I arrived on a Sunday evening for a beer and a quick bite on a recent trip to kelowna. I had heard that eating was quite good, but it was a bit hard to find as it is in the middle of an industrial area. I found it light enough and was not worried by the lack of ambiente. the problem was that I sat there for 30 minutes (yes, a full 30 minutes) without being served or even spoken. first I was not too worried, as I checked emails etc. and relaxed. the pub was maybe 25-30% full. they seemed to be understated when I only saw a waitress and the bartender, so I was ready to be patient. This used to be my go to pub for decades. About a year ago the service started to get bad, really bad. Now the food matches the service. After several disappointing visits we thought we would give this pub one last try. Friends were in...town and they wanted to do lunch since they haven't been here in years. My medium rare steak sandwich with no onions came over done, burnt, dry as leather and smothered in onions. Not one of our meals came as ordered. Whether it was mayo on the burger, choice of salad dressing or sub 1/2 Caesar, the little details were missed. I visited the packing house pub on most of my visits in kelowna. every time we come, we get very good service and have a great time! eating is typical Canadian pub bur. the design of the hahnen miiiight has to be cleaned a little...bit more frequently, but this applies to most pubs, in a ground, everywhere in North America, let us be honest. there is a music trivia night that is so much fun because the two youngs, the host are very good hostess! they are fun and like what they do and have the geduld for the people who drink more beer than they are the trivia clients is more mid 30’s mid 40’s, so if they are in this age range and hear the explosion have! recently had a lunch on the afternoon here twice, the chicken tsartes were really good, other food we had also (sticked mushroom caps, yorkies.) service was good, we sat on the covered terrace and it was good. the second time had ordered chicken wings and they. were far over cooked, mentioned it on the server, but no rabatt (and my friends only ate about the half of their order as they were dry). Otherwise good service, good eating, decent worth, just have to watch these wings and not burn!

this pub has great food, a wonderful service and is wheelchair accessible, but not a barrier-free bathroom. to the owners by e-mail without recall. this is very important for disabled people to have accessible washrooms.
