The café is pleasant, spacious and felt very airy (a distinct advantage in these times) We ordered 3 breakfasts and...as my son is a bit of a fussy eater, I asked them to remove the beans and mushrooms, they offered to substitute them for hash browns without me even having to ask, which I thought was a nice touch. Today my wife and I came to this restaurant for lunch and found that most tables were reserved. The outside tables that were not occupied had not been cleared or cleaned. Customers who had ordered and paid for their food were walking around looking for a place to sit, and the staff seemed unsure of where to seat them. Tables were reserved for 60-90 minutes later in the day. The staff seemed more focused on taking orders than helping customers or cleaning tables. We have had a few bad experiences here in the past, and we gave it the benefit of the doubt due to the pandemic. However, cleanliness should still be a priority during these times. I typically don't like to write negative reviews, but I was so disappointed with my recent visit that I felt compelled to share my experience. While the food was cooked to order and served hot, the quality was subpar. I ordered fish and chips, and the fish was small and overcooked with very little actual fish inside. The chips were also soggy and oily. For a £10 meal, I expected better. My partner ordered chili with rice, but there was more rice than chili. He found it acceptable, but overall we will not be returning to this restaurant.
Our breakfast was the perfect thing to set us off on our long journey north .. Thank you to everyone involved.. Great team work .. Staff clearly love their job.. Very busy when we arrived but tables cleared quickly as people left and I was...particularly pleased to see them thoroughly cleaned before new customers used them .. we visited here for the first time and it was nice. we ordered a child's meal, which was fantastic worth at £3.99 it came as a massive part of chicken nuggets, fresh chips and borons. I had a ham and cheese panini with chips,... again really fresh and excellent worth and we also ordered a tee cake. we had three drinks beside the food and it came to £15, which I thought was excellent. the service was fast and the staff was friendly! we will definitely come back.
I found the cafe to be somewhat unassuming. Customers have to place their orders at the counter, receive a number, and then have their orders brought to their table. The service was a bit slow and the staff seemed to have trouble keeping track of which orders belonged to which customers. The tables were not wiped clean. The coffee was decent and the cake was alright, especially considering the prices.
Had fantastic service as always from Vicky, she is so friendly and helpful. The chef Dan, as always, does such tasty meals. This time I tried the veggie full English, best veggie sausages so far. Thank you so much both, my family and I had...a great time thanks to you both!
Waited over an hour for food despite having booked a table. Fine if you like chips, chips and more chips. The homemade quiche was soggy and the filling was more like scrambled eggs. Tiny portion of very boring salad. It’s not difficult to make an...interesting salad.

Had a really enjoyable visit. Fabulous selection of plants. The restaurant was lovely, we had a really tasty cooked breakfast,mmmm. Then coffee and cake which were just perfect. Great choice of food. Need to go back for lunch, they looked great.
7 ex brinton's friends met for afternoon cream teas. beautiful fresh sandwiches and cakes. we couldn't eat them all so they gave us crates to go home. excellent value for money.
