Was there Thursday before last. Arrived 20 minutes before our 8:30 reservation in hopes of enjoying a drink before being seated. The bar area was mostly empty and we were were told we could go to the bar to have a libation but if someone shows up and wants to eat at the bar you will have to give up the stools . Really?!? Never heard that one before. (profit at every turn??? So I ask the bartender if there is a whiskey list. He seemed annoyed and walks over to the bottles aligned sideways on the shelves and starts to show them to me. This restaurant came highly recommended by at least three people, so I decided to give it a try, and it did not disappoint! I sat at the bar, and they even allowed me to book a time for bar service, which is similar to call-ahead seating but specifically for the bar. I thought that was a nice touch. The staff and patrons were friendly, and the food was outstanding. It was a bit on the pricey side, but the quality made it worth it. I ordered the escargot and gnocchi, and both dishes were incredible! I highly recommend this place.
Kid friendliness: We made it clear on the reservation we had 2 kids both 4 years old. They served the kids water in glass stemware? Glass cups no problem but glass stemware for 4 year olds?? If restaurants don’t cater to kids that is all good just be direct and tell the customers when they call to make a reservation. The restaurant is quite crowded and has a tight layout, so it may not be ideal for those who are claustrophobic. However, our server Bryon was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, attentive, and brought a sense of humor to the evening.
This was our first visit, and we’re excited to return. I plan to try the fish next time. The menu is wonderful! As for parking, finding a spot in downtown Highlands can be a bit challenging, but it’s manageable.
My wife and I had a wonderful romantic dinner last night at Ristorante Paoletti. The ambiance was charming with a cool vibe and an excellent music playlist. We shared the grouper, which was incredibly delicious! Our server, Juan, was outstanding—very personable and warm, with an engaging demeanor. I highly recommend trying the Carbonara and the Escargot All' Forno. Both dishes were outstanding and added to the overall exceptional dining experience. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was inviting and warm, making it a perfect spot for a nice dinner.
Don’t at all like that they put a limit on the time that you can spend at the restaurant. My husband and our friend got a pasta dish that they advertised as beef ragu and it was not. Our waitress rushed us and seemed like she just didn’t want us there if we weren’t ordering apps, main and dessert. Very disappointed. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
