Sorry for not having the best picture, but the crab dip was so good I had to write a review! I have been disappointed by many crab dips recently (they lack crab usually), but Pappas has the best crab dip around right now! They actually put enough crab and cheese in the dip that the cream cheese doesn?t overwhelm the whole dish. The seafood sampler appetizer is incredible! It?s enough to share at the table or have a full meal. I was VERY impressed going to Pappas in Glen Burnie! Not just with the food, but the service and drinks were both fantastic! Our server, Jessica, was super sweet and attentive.
The crabs here are great! We've visited several times, and the crab cakes have consistently been delicious—nice and meaty! However, the crab dip was mostly just dips with very little crab meat, so I wouldn't recommend ordering that again. On the plus side, the vegetables taste fresh and the staff is always friendly, which is a nice bonus. We tried the mini crab cake once, but it was mostly fillers, which was quite disappointing. I definitely recommend sticking with the full-size option instead!
Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but believe me, it’s worth every penny—not just for the incredible food, but also for the exceptional service. Everything was incredibly clean, which really added to the experience. The young man clearing the tables was attentive and made sure our drinks were always full, as did our server Debbie. If you want to make an impression, this is definitely the place to go. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next visit!
I think I set the bar so high because of all the recommendations that I set myself up. Don 't get me wrong, the crab cakes were good, but not out of this world like I anticipated. The rest was just average. I had heard about this place for some time and we finally went! For being such a popular award winning place, it 's appearance says, I used to be an old red lobster and we kept a lot of the decor from 20 years ago. Réservez une table maintenant
Amazing crabcakes we made a special detour to come here, and they did not disappoint. Whoever said the crab cakes were full of fillers did not know what it is about: some of our 6 crab cakes fell almost apart for the lump crabs in them. Extra Brownie points for the waiting staff who were willing to dive deep into the crevasse between table and wall for a lost phone!
The food was fantastic! The service was incredibly quick, and the prices were excellent. Our meals arrived in just minutes, still piping hot and cooked to perfection. The hot roast beef was delicious, and the potatoes were outstanding. We also sampled the jumbo roasted shrimp, which was fried to perfection. We definitely can't wait to return!
Food was just average. The jackknife potatoes were just mashes potatoes in a smaller container. The coleslaw has a meaty taste and the ribs were not tossed in enough sauce. Vegetables were unseasoned and bland. Service was also a bit slow, but the ribs were not dry which is a plus. Great Christmas decor.
