Paraiso actually has two spots, the main restaurant (which I've yet to visit) and the Cafe'; the Cafe is kind of tucked to the side between Fragers and another storefront. It's very easy to miss if you aren't paying attention! I always get the mocha latte, which tastes like a Mexican hot chocolate and latte had a baby! Very very delightful. The interior is extremely tastefully decorated with Mexican tchockies, art, and books. But somehow even though there is a lot of stuff the atmosphere is still very light and airy! The food was good but definitely better the last time we ate here (and we ordered the same thing). My main reason for the poor review is we came here on the 4th of July because there was a promotion for $20 bottomless mimosas during brunch (or so we thought based on an email that was sent out). After arriving, we asked about it and they said that it was only on the weekends. We told both the waiter and the manager about the email and the manager said it was misleading. Had dinner here with friends and colleagues to be immediately impressed by the atmosphere and ambiance. The hosts for our large party were gracious and friendly as they sat us and hosted us throughout the night. I cannot express enough just how good the food was though. Not only was the food incredible but it wasn’t like anything I’d had before when it came to unique taste and quality. For all the restaurants in DC and the cost of food, this is definitely worth it. I doubt I’ll get a chance to visit DC much, but every time I do, I’ll certainly be stopping here. If you’ve read this far, you certainly should too.
