This park sponsored by Migros and is split into two sections. The first, upper section ‘Oranger Garten’ is in front of the Migros store. Located here are the plants and floral varieties located along a rubberized walking trail and a maze. Most of the plants and flowers are prepared and maintained by Migros staff and employees. There are flowers, fruit trees, a small bridge, a hidden trail, a two-level pay parking lot and the pavilion. Inside the pavilion is a green box where you can take a wall picture of yourself. In another room, there is an interactive wall that describes the history of some of the Migros products and materials since the founding of the company. You are able to direct the video presentation with hand movements. There are also old commercials and media information on Migros history. There is literature as well as the video presentations in several languages.Once done here, cross the street and head over to Park im Gruene. At the entrance there is bike parking, an indoor play area and a restaurant with patio (which I was advised I could not take pictures inside without management approval). Taking a circular loop around the park, there is a stage and seating area, sand box, climbing jungle, donkey riding area, park trails, a pond, animal statues, train rides for small children, a hand crank water station, open grounds, bbq grills, benches, table tennis, a straw roof house and a great view over Lake Zurich. Also, connected to the grounds is the GDI (a think tank) Institute. The park and oranger garden are both open year round (hours vary), free and open to the public. Park im Gruene and Oranger Garten are located off the A3 at the Thalwil/Rueschlikon exit or with public transport bus #165 between Park im ‘Gruene and Zurich Burkliplatz and takes less than 25 minutes. Restrooms are located around the park. The park is accessible to those with physical challenges. A visit is highly recommended for a nice, relaxing day at the park with family or friends.

This self-service restaurant in the park offers breakfast, lunch and dinner at affordable prices. It is open daily from 0800 hours - Nov-Feb till 1600 hours, Mar-Apr & Sep-Oct till 1700 hours, and May-August till 1900 hours. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining on sunny days, brunch on Sundays, and even dancing on certain evenings during the year! There is an indoor play area for kids, also available as a birthday party venue.

The park and its restaurant is such a nice place. In front: Great view over lake of Zurich. In the middle: Water-Play-Zone and at the entrance a playground for toddlers (which is ok) and another for elder kids (which is really cool) and a nice restaurant (also with buffet). More attractions depend on the days.

We were here for a company event and I was surprised by how beautiful the park is. The grass fields are very well maintained. It is about 15-20 min walking minutes from the train station, but there is also a bus that stops 5 min from the park.If you stop there, make sure to enjoy the panorama!
