We have been to this establishment 3x. 1st was on business it was an atrocious wait before they came out and said their oven was not working (everything in Rockland closes before 8 besides McD) it really seemed they tried to keep their customers beyond that point where you have to tolerate their food. Second visit was amazing, great burger, amazing service. Third trip service was great, do not order a steak they will tell you to leave if it is over done. Ordered a blue rare, came out with a huge gray ring around it (medium at best) and told the server. T a lady walks out telling us it the chef (her has and and the owner) refused to cook another one as he determined it to be rare. We googled...
the owner (who calls himself a cook) is a total princess. the ny steak blue rarely ordered. sent it back and was informed by an evil old lady that the “Koch” refuses to fire the steak again, as he feels, it was rare. I showed her a picture of steak temperatures and said our steak looked nothing like that. she didn't care. I wanted to talk to him. My mom called this place a Mexican restaurant, but as someone from the West Coast, I felt that the atmosphere was more like a grill/pub with Mexican dishes (and some tempting seafood options that I regret not trying!). Regardless of how you label it, the Mexican food was excellent - I tried the shredded beef enchiladas and they were fantastic. The salsa served with the chips was delicious, and my watermelon margarita was perfectly refreshing. Special thanks to Jill for the recommendation!
Had a party of 4 we stopped by for a quick bite appetizers only had a great view of the coastline. The complimentary Salsa and Chips were great one of the better salsas we’ve had. We ordered the Firecracker Shrimp, Crab Quesadilla, and Lobster Rangoon. Lobster Rangoon could use a little more lobster IMO, but the Firecracker shrimp and Crab quesadilla were great!! We ordered the pork bell-couban sandwich, a burger with BBQ chicken wings, a mango margarita, and a sangria. We were seated promptly upon arrival and our server, whose name we didn't catch, was excellent. They had great knowledge of the menu and recommended popular items. Despite expecting more of a grill, the restaurant had a Mexican influence which was a pleasant surprise. Every dish was delicious and definitely worth the price!
We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. The surf and turf fajitas with shrimp and steak were cooked perfectly, and there were many toppings to go with them. My dining companion had the flank steak and beet salad, which was also deliciously prepared. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. They also have a daily special menu at this restaurant.
