Oh so laid back, primarily, coffee shop on lower King Street. Like an old-fashioned den/library. I had a cappuccino in an old Delft porcelain cup while the kids ate cookies (no other cake option at the time). The Boomtown Rats were emoting/emitting from an old record player, which I quickly took charge of and replaced with Radiohead. We sat in old leather chairs, surrounded by cheap antiques, art books, classic novels on a shelf supported by a Ducati motorcycle and bits of sculpture, drawings and paintings. The guy serving, a politics student from Macquarie Uni, was friendly and conversational. A real little oasis of calm with the air of an Oxford professor's room. They hold life drawing cla...
