We visited Pennycomequick three times first for just a drink (and loved the atmosphere! , then for dinner (food wonderful and staff very welcoming and friendly , then finally because we were let down by another restaurant and needed something to eat! The manager was great and looked after us. If we're in Falmouth again, we'll definitely return. In a nutshell, a great pub, with superb food that's very welcoming to visitors (thank you! .
I have to say this was probably the most dissapointing roast dinner I've ever had. I ended up ordering the pork as the beef had ran out and was unpleasantly suprised when i saw a lump of fatty pork accompanied with 3 roast potatoes and 2 carrots to share between 2 people. I cant say i was impressed for paying £18.50 for it and it was a trip to spoons to get some proper dinner for a fraction of the price.
My self and partner couldn't be bothered to go back to Helston to cook dinner after visiting our parents, so popped in to look at the menu. Bar staff very attentive, knew the menu well even though it had just changed. All I can say is the food blew me away and knocked a couple of my favourite places out of the ball park. Food was well presented with amazing flavours. We will definitely be back
We booked a table without any problem. Arrived and ordered. Unfortunately our order apparently was lost and we had an incredible long wait. We have to say the girls who have only been at the penny for a short time were absolutely amazing with their attention. The food was excellent!!! The chef did us proud. The ambiance was wonderful and the restaurant offered delicious food. The staff were exceptional and the Hake dish was outstanding. I look forward to returning next time I am in Falmouth. The price per person ranges from £20 to £30, and I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips.
We arrived on a Saturday night without a reservation and were fortunate to snag a table. The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was fantastic. Prices ranged from £10–20 per person. Food quality, service, and atmosphere all rated a perfect 5 out of 5.
Popped in for lunch....pleasantly surprised. Friendly and prompt service. Had the BLT which was freshly cooked and delicious. Will definitely return.
