Peppe's Apt 2 - Réservation de table

My husband and I went to this restaurant for his birthday. It's really nice that the owner greets you at the door and make sure you get seated. The waiter, Mark, was just attentive enough and not overbearing. The food was really good! My husband had the chicken marsala and he said the sauce was delicious! I had the special that night which was halibut and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned Italian style which was also delicious. They gave him a dessert for his birthday and then we had a after dinner cocktail at the bar. I think it was Leo behind the bar and he seems to be an every night fixture! We dined here with a large party as part of a wedding weekend. The atmosphere was top notch and truly felt as 5 star as it gets. The server was very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and had a wonderful attitude. The only issue was the steak we ordered medium came out as well done as you could possibly get. They fixed it asap and it ended up being the best steak we’ve ever had to this day. We tried several appetizers, several desserts, our favorite being the tiramisu. My in laws haven’t stopped raving about the Halibut! I would highly recommend Peppes to anyone looking for fine dining in Kirkwood.

Friday lunch was delicious. The atmosphere is lovely and refined. The Peppe’s and spinach salads were very good. The entrees of veal piccata and grilled halibut were excellent as well. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra music was a wonderful addition to the experience. I can’t wait to return in spring when I can dine in their outdoor garden.

My husband I grew up in NY. My biggest gripe with STL is the lack of quality Italian food (yes we’ve been to the hill ? . I wish I had come here sooner!! It’s the first restaurant here that provided me a taste of home. Dinner was absolutely incredible! Réservez une table maintenant

Tried to get reservations for two downstairs but was told could not have a table after 7:00. I explained I would take any evening that was available on any night but was told again they were booked solid for the next few weeks, really they ain’t Tony’

While the only downside is the room was a bit too dark the tasting menu was amazing!!!! Should I have ate 10 courses maybe not but that's a tomorrow problem! Dietary restrictions: I have a shellfish allergy, and the server was on top of it. No issues

A must go for baby/bridal showers! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! Between the food and the staff they do an amazing job and create an intimate and charming event. After trying their food I will be back for dinner soon!

Wonderful dining experience. The only criticism is our waiter was very pushy on getting us to order our meal.

Much smaller portions. So sad. Great quality though. But harder on the pocket book.
