Tacky 90's decor. We tried to book before 8pm and we were told they were booked out. We go there right on 8 & there were three, maybe four tables with diners. Our table was at the back - as far away as possible from the water view. The service was nothing short of hideous. They took forever to bring wine and food menus, and with next to no diners, took a further amount of forever to bring the drinks. The waitress asked us how we like our salmon cooked? Seriously - its not a steak! This is some crazy stuff. We asked about gluten free options from our waitress. She was not 'allowed' to answer this as it had to be escalated to the manager. WHAT? I loved my dining experience at The Point. Could fault nothing! The service, the food, the service, the view, the service, the experience, oh and did I mention the service. Worth every cent!! I had an overnight stay in hospital a couple of weeks prior to my dining experience at The Point, and I can assure you, the comparison in the service I received for these two experiences could not be more opposite!! Especially for the money!!!!
Nous étions une table de 3 et il n'y avait que 2 autres tables que la nuit - mais c'était à la mi-semaine. Avait l'oeil bleu trevalla, qui était le poisson de la journée, avec un salon de crabe et c'était délicieux. Le poisson était magnifiquement cuit avec une peau croustillante et la salade de crabe était très fraîche. La serveuse (ambre) était attrayante et attentive. Nous avons tous apprécié ça. This is top quality food, beautifully presented. Great wine list too. Very good value for a special occasion. The service is quite exceptional - truly professional and head and shoulders above your average Hobart experience. The newly refurbished décor is lovely. The restaurant provides privacy. The views are just stunning. Don't miss this one - you won't be disappointed.

Front convivial du personnel de la maison avec un service immédiat. La crème de whisky brûlée était incroyable, de belles combinaisons de goût de doux avec une tang légère du sorbet de la confiture orange (nettoyeur de palais rafraîchissant) entre le beignet de la piste de chocolat gluant-cannelle. Certainement recommander. Beau dessert à partager.
The Wrest Hotel seems to be the tallest building in Hobart. The rotating restaurant, at the top, offers an excellent view of the city. Service and food were excellent, but pricey. The restaurant has also a "formal-but-casual" dress code, so don't show up in sandals and t-shirts.
A fabulous experience, the food, service and views are just spectacular. Superbly presented, the meals are far superior than many 5 star restaurants I have eaten at. If you have a special occasion ( or even if you don't) it's worth it.
The staff were so welcoming and warm towards me and my family. They were very friendly towards my 5 year old daughter. The food was great too. Special thanks to Anika for making my night so special

We had the $87.00 set menu with choices. We all enjoyed what we chose. The service was excellent. The views are spectacular. We dined at 6pm and saw the views at daylight and through to sunset.
