I decided to try dining in at this restaurant and had the pleasure of chatting with the owner throughout my meal. She was incredibly warm and welcoming, showing a genuine passion for the food business and a commitment to delivering authentic Portuguese cuisine to Somerset.
Afterwards, I ordered through a delivery service, and once again, the food arrived beautifully packaged, hot, and fresh—just as enjoyable as dining in. While I was recently hospitalized, my 13-year-old daughter and a friend stopped by to pick up my favorite dish. I was very disappointed with my recent takeout order for Thanksgiving. I ordered a Portuguese cod fish dish along with dessert. The dessert was tasty, but the cod fish dish was a different story. The potatoes were overcooked and mushy, and there was an unpleasant burnt taste to the dish. The total bill, including tip, came to around $200. I often order takeout from Piri Piri and have never had an issue before, but this cod fish was truly the worst I've experienced. Unfortunately, 95% of the dish ended up in the garbage disposal. I'll definitely think twice before ordering a platter from there again. I usually don't post negative reviews, so I'm sorry about this one.

For my bridal shower, I had Piri Piri cater and it was the most easy and delicious choice I had to make through the whole wedding process. Sandy was such a great listener to the amount of people I was having and what I wanted. The menu selection was so wide and the portions, phew. I had an event with over 100 people, and I still had so much food left over, even with people eating not once, but twice, and still able to take multiple plates home. It was not a debate that I wanted Portuguese food since I grew up Portuguese, and the fact that my grandparents have now passed and they would have cooked up a festa. I recently ordered from Piri Piri Kitchen through DoorDash and was thoroughly impressed! The food was delicious—the chicken perfectly satisfied my craving with amazing flavor. The sauce brought back memories of meals from my grandmother’s kitchen. The rice and fries were equally tasty. The only downside was the chocolate mousse cake, which was smaller than expected and came in a container labeled "5.25 gluten-free chocolate cake." Despite this minor disappointment, everything else was excellent, and I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

The food and service here are truly outstanding! The atmosphere is exceptional because they treat everyone like family. This is the Portuguese way! In the past, I’ve ordered meals and soup just for myself, but this weekend I decided to have them prepare food for a party. I was once again blown away! I started with Portuguese soup for my guests—which was a hit—along with some delicious bread. Then I ordered the seafood rice, which left everyone amazed. It had every seafood you could imagine. I took my entire family to this restaurant for dinner, and everyone adored the food. The staff was incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. As for kid-friendliness, the owner was quick to provide coloring books for the kids, and they left feeling full and happy!
I finally returned, and I can’t believe it took me so long! I had another PERFECT dinner thanks to Sandy. The Portuguese burger is amazing, and serving it on a bolo is pure genius. I highly recommend the Chicken Mozambique and Bacalhau as well. I can’t wait to come back soon!
Delicious food and generous portions! The owners are among the friendliest people you'll ever encounter. We're from Oregon and had never tried Portuguese cuisine before, but it was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this charming little restaurant!

Piri Piri Kitchen catered our Primacare workplace Christmas event, and the experience was outstanding. The chicken Mozambique, pork Alentejana, and fish and chips were all truly excellent.
