We ordered the Putter 's Burger and the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Portions are large and the burgers are large, you 've been warned. The meat was excellently seasoned and our food was hot. The fries and gravy were mediocre but the burgers didn 't fit the bun, which is fine with me, and OMG they were messy and tasty! Just a joy to eat and wipe up. We joked with the waitress that they should offer a laundry service with every burger. The ambient temp in the restaurant was cold however, I 'm sure it 's much nicer in the summer (the view will be greatly improved as well! . The waitress was friendly and attentive but the cook dropping F bombs from the kitchen should be fixed (maybe just an off day ....
We stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a place to have dinner. We were not in the mood for fast food. Putters is located in the clubhouse of a golf course at the south end of Claresholm. The food was delicious, especially the hearty hamburger and their massive burger with lean meat topped with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, dill pickles, and two onion rings. It was so good that we had to cut it into smaller pieces to eat. Both meals came with homemade fries, which were equally tasty and a great value for the price. The service was excellent as well.
What an amazing experience! To sit out on a lovely big deck and watch the golfers playing the back 9 links while enjoying a delicious thick and juicy steak with crispy home cut fries. The seasoning was just right, the cut of meat was succulent, and the chef got it right the first time on my medium rare. The staff are as friendly and fun as the owners Jim and Megan, and they take great pains to ensure everyone has a great meal when dining at their restaurant. If you're looking for a relaxing, fun and thoroughly enjoyable dining experience, Putter's is the place to go!
The Clubhouse sandwich is the best I have ever had. The steak sandwich is perfect! The service is fast and you are always served with a smile. I discovered this restaurant 3 years ago and now go golfing here just for the food. It is 1.5 hours to the restaurant from home but it is a great treat to eat such great food. I recently attended a group event at the clubhouse where we were served buffet style. Everything was set up promptly, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The food was all very tasty and the staff was exceptional - they were attentive and friendly throughout the entire event.
Gotta say they make a Mean egg benny. Friendly ladies greeted us. We sat outside for a fantastic sunny view of the golf course. Only reason for 4 stars is that there were way too many flies outside sitting on our food. I would come back here but I would be sitting inside next time.
