I ordered Char grilled breads, house made hummus and South Australian olive oil ($12) as well as the Beef Tartare, free range hens egg, truffle and toast ($18). The beef tartare was unbelievably delicious. I'll go as far as saying that it's the best beef tartare I have ever had. I'm not sure what other ingredients went into the dish, but every mouthful was a flavour bomb! Sadly I can't say the same for the presentation, but given the dish might have been thrown around a little in transit I won't fault them for this aspect.

I eat at The Queens Head Hotel a few times a year and to this stage I haven't had a bad meal yet - they just seem to get everything right. This time around I had a snitzel with chips & salad plus I wanted some vegetable so I had some for an extra $2 I think it was. Nice to see that there is a place that don't charge $7-8 for extra vegetables. We headed to the Queen's head recently for a work catch up and were pleasantly surprised. The pub is lovely and cosy and has had a few makeovers over the years. There's a casual dining area near the front and a more formal area out the back, as well as a beer garden outside. It was pizza special for $15 and what a bargain. The pizzas were huge and you could have shared one between two people. My only downer was it was a bit salty and I was parched after eating it. The curry of the day also looked tasty as did the prawn tacos. Good drinks menu and reasonably priced. A good spot for a pre or post match feed or drink if you're ever going to an event at Adelaide oval.

A pre lunch drink in front of the fireplace was a nice way to start. We (3) shared two entrees, the steak tartare (too large serving for one) six oysters kilpatrick (okay, but not outstanding). The pick of the day was the slow cooked lamb shoulder & duck fat chips which was recommended by the waitress. It was delicious. The staff were helpful & pleasant. The only criticism would be the wine list, not particularly extensive. All up a good experience & will be back.
We are locals and regulars here - for very good reason. The hotel decor is eclectic but crisp, the front veranda great if you can catch the sun, the rear courtyard a great space. The food is consistently good with a great bar menu and fantastic crispy base wood oven pizzas for a quick visit or more traditional dining room meals. The excellent wine list is full of well priced wine eg Penfolds St Henri. Staff are always on song - we highly recommend.
We found a park out the front of the Queens Head and decided that this would be a great place to have dinner. All booked out inside but luckily the lane way at the side of the building was set up for meals. The Hotel offered everyone an events menu which was a great idea. The food was delicious, wide selection and tasted great. All food was served in plenty of time for us to get to the footy without rushing. We will return.
Passing by and was recommended the hotel after a business meeting and catching up with a friend. The hotel is a best kept secret and deserves support. Great staff who were very accomodating. Good menu, beers and wine selection to ensure an overall good experience by those who enter the premises for either a quick drink or a meal . Great overall ambience and worth a visit.

Fantastic wood oven pizzas! Have been a few times for dinner and a bite before the Footy. The Hahndorf meats pizza and the lamb yiros pizza are amazing. Delicious quality ingredients. Awesome low key location, great fit out and vibe indoors and out. Will definitely be back soon. Thumb up, definitely worth an eat.
One of my absolute favourite restaurants. Always serving amazing food & dessert with genuine service. I also love the atmosphere here. I couldn't recommend Queen's Head enough!
