When you're talking about sushi, what you're really talking is freshness and craft. How fresh is the salmon on top of the roll? Is the roll falling apart in your soy sauce? What's with that avocado? If you want well-made rolls that are as fresh as can be, look no further than Raisu. We had a wonderful experience here and thought the food was top notch. All the nigiri melted in your mouth and the staff was very accommodating to our requests which was really appreciated. They also have a cool selection of Japanese beer and lots of sake. Overall, highly recommended and looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.
First time at the restaurant very warm place the foods, services and get to meet the owner Simon very sweet person. Wonderful place to go with friends or family especially if you don't know where to take your girlfriend on first anniversary this will be the place. I know because my boyfriend pick this place.

EXCELLENT experience at Raisu. The service was absolutely incredible- the best I’ve had in so long. The food was delicious, the space was clean, calm, and well done. Definitely will be back and highly recommend.
amazing sushi, and service. These sushi were comparable to the sushi in Japan. Also the service was amazing and the atmosphere was just really relaxing. They even had kanpachi which is hard to find in Chicago.
8 pc signature nigiri omakase was absolutely delicious, great quality of ingredients and execution. The seafood soup was amazing as well! Will definitely return!
I’ve always loved Kaizan, but this is my new favorite spot for sushi. Phenomenal quality of fish and great atmosphere. Will be back!
