I ordered a "Ham and cheese" sandwich and the waiter described it as being similar to a croque monsieur. Unfortunately, it was made with low-quality sliced white bread that was a bit stale, commercial thin-sliced fatty ham, and commercial cheese that lacked color, scent, and flavor. The sandwich was dry and overall unappetizing. It was a terrible waste of money at $10. The eggs and bacon were decent but nothing outstanding. The restaurant had a nice appearance, but the food lacked taste and appeal. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing.
Too many options on the menu, and servers who seem impatient and are not all that friendly- something you'd expect from a long standing place. Went there a few times, and the price was too high for what they were offering.Servers were not too friendly.And one of the times they even got my order wrong for something totally different than I had asked for. Go there if you have to, but overall not a memorable experience with mediocre food due to the high number of options.
Comfortingly familiar-feeling neighbourhood diner serving simple food in generous portions. Staff were friendly, particularly our good-humoured server who laughed at our jokes. Four of us had different dishes and all were pleased. We also appreciated the traditional decor and typical booths. Convenient parking lot opposite.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for breakfast and lunch. The staff is incredibly welcoming, particularly with children. The menu offers a variety of must-have items, including a wide selection of omelettes, salads, and juicy burgers. Prices are reasonable, making it a cozy place with excellent food and service overall.

I organized an outing with our group of eight friends to Chez Nick on Greene Avenue. It is your typical diner/bistro where you can eat at the counter or at tables. Always welcoming- this Cafe has been around for years- The food is simple and the environment a throw back to the 50's - but the staff is friendly- the place is always busy- as the food is always up to par and tasty...a home cooked lunch- but out.
I don't like too much dressing, so I loved the clean flavours in their lunch salad, and I had everything within an hour so I could get back to work. Good food, good diner staff (if sometimes a little chatty)!
Our server was Julieanne, who was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed delicious tuna melt and grilled cheese sandwiches, alongside portobello mushrooms with french fries. The carrot cake was also quite tasty.

The server was very helpful and recommended a gluten-free sandwich with turkey, Brie, and spinach. I enjoyed it and felt fine afterwards. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
I highly suggest trying the brie and blueberry grilled cheese sandwich at this restaurant.
