Restaurant Clos Fleuri

We ate here because of the good Trip Advisor Review, however it was somewhat disappointing. My first choice of entrée was not available, and the goat's cheese on 'toast' was somewhat bland and tasteless. The butter salmon was very overcooked and had no taste at all...not even of butter, and the accompanying vegetables were so overcooked they had turned to water. The saving grace was the dessert - a beautifully prepared panna cotta with blueberry compote. We could not fault the service.

We were given a lovely table for six family members and the son of the owner personally served us and made suggestions about the Menu as well as the Wine List. We were not disappointed and we sent our special thanks to the chef for a meal well prepared and presented. The son spoke English but the parents only speak French but they are really charming and helpful.

This excellent restaurant is attached to the fairly ordinary hotel clos fleuri. We had cod and salmon mains both served with lovely sections of young lightly cooked vegetables. The cheese course offered four generous pieces of local soft and hard cheeses. Highly recommended.

The photos are nice but the reality is different...We were surprised by the way we were received. Rough welcoming.The place has no charm. We was enthusiastic to discover the "cassoulet" at the restaurant but it seemed we had a plate coming directly from a can. What a shame!

Our party of six enjoyed a very nice meal. We chose steaks, cassoulet, and beef bavette. Prompt service and a very pleasant atmosphere. Recommended.
