Le Farinet - Réservation de table

We have been coming back to Crans Montana every year for 16 years we know what restaurants are available in the area, but for some reason had never tried Le Farinet, so decided to give it a go and had high hopes given the good reviews. However, we had a very poor experience. The service was extremely slow, it took 20 minutes just to bring us menus (and we had a reservation). I then ordered a dish with the primary ingredient being seitan and when the food arrived, quickly realized the seitan was missing. I notified the waiter and he said oh, I’ll ask the chef and brought the food back to the kitchen after which it took 20 minutes for the dish to come back to me with its intended primary ingre...

that was a little disappointment! that was a fantastic restaurant. the level has unfortunately dropped and the restaurant changed to a bad level. her stacking dish “Spaghetti al Nerrano” with zucchini is from the menu that is a big mistake. change is important. but that was a local dish that they did not find in other restaurants. they are also a lack of soul at the place since the departure of the brothers. I love this place and I hope they can fix their mistakes quickly, otherwise it will fall in the category of disappointments of crans.

Wir hatten keine Reservation, trotzdem erhielten wir einen Tisch im Freien.Der Service war einfach wunderbar und sehr zuvorkommend, nicht selbstverständlich für Crans Montana, grosses Kompliment!Wir erhielten einen Wärmepilz und zu späterer Stunde Lammfelle, so hatten wir es sehr gemütlich.Das Essen war hervorragend, die Auswahl top und die Empfehlungen einfach toll.Es gefiel uns so gut, dass wir für den nächsten Abend gleich nochmals einen Tisch reservierten.

Very good pasta and friendly service! Small downside: On my dish (pasta with shellfish ragout sauce the quantity was a little low and lacked sauce, but it was very good! My partner's dish (pasta with eggplant, etc. was delicious. Very good quality bread as an accompaniment! We will come back to try other dishes, especially those cooked in the parmesan wheel. Strongly not recommended, the service came to tell us that we will have to wait 15 minutes before receiving our dish: as a result an hour later we were still paying attention. When they arrived they had not prepared the right dish and everything was cold. When you pay 45. for a meat dish you expect a minimum of respect towards customers…

Wir konnten auf der Terrasse sitzen und die Abendsonne geniessen. Service war freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker! Ravioli Caprese und Scialatielli Amalfitana kosteten je CHF 26. und es wurde noch frischer Parmesan darüber gerieben. Gerne wieder!

Das Abendessen war sehr sehr lecker und die Bedienung ebenso. Das Essen ist etwas aussergewöhnliches und eine tolle Reise in die Italienische Küche im Wallis.

We tasted the “Panuozzo”!! A new, but incredible discovery! Not your usual sandwich, but a real Italian taste. Thanks to the team!
