Nous sommes passés par ici en faisant les vides un dimanche, au départ nous cherchions un endroit pour prendre un café, et il y a très peu de lieux ouverts ! Nous pensions juste prendre une boisson rapide mais nous avons fini par rester pour le déjeuner : je suis sans gluten et j'ai pris une galette délicieuse ! While it won't win any awards for location or ambience, Le Piano is a perfectly respectable place for a simple, well-cooked meal that is remarkable value. We dropped in for lunch after arriving at Bergerac airport (7 mins drive) knowing that they would still serve us at 2pm. For €12 each my wife and I had the 3 course menu du jour. Starters were charcuterie and soup of the day (good); mains were turkey brochettes and breaded escalope of (also) turkey, both well cooked. Ice cream and chocolate mousse to finish. Nous sommes venus ici il y a un an et cette fois-ci, cela nous convenait à nouveau de sauter directement de l'aéroport de Bergerac pour un repas rapide avant de continuer. Le menu du jour était de 12,40 € cette fois-ci. Tarte à l'oignon en entrée, puis un choix de 3 plats. Ma femme a pris du porc rôti lentement, j'ai pris du confit de canard (supplément de 2 €). Les plats étaient simples mais bien préparés. 2 petites carafes de vin, 2 crèmes brûlées et 2 cafés, total de 39,00 €. On ne peut pas trouver mieux en termes de rapport qualité-prix.
We came here a year ago and this time it suited us again to hop straight from Bergerac airport to a quick bite, before moving on. The menu de jour was €12.40 this time. Onion Tarte for starters then there was a choice of 3 things. My wife had slow roasted pork, I had confit de canard (€2 supplem). If you're out shopping at the complex next to this popular restaurant it's a great place to have a very civilised lunch. The set menu is great value for money and the main menu is very comprehensive but a tad expensive. Nice seating outside and spacious inside. Service is a bit hit and miss but generally friendly and the food is surprisingly good.
When we go shopping we often call in here for lunch. Never tried it in the evening.Good menu de jour for 11 Euros. Lots of locals eat here and gets busy, rightly so as its a nice and unpretencious place. Their mouclade (lightly curried mussels) is also very good.Next to Intermarche in Bergerac (used to be Carrefour).
