Restaurant Les Visiteurs

We arrived well in advance of our Gouffre de Padirac prebooked ticket time so decided to find some lunch.We were probably pre-warned what to expect by the numerous laminated menus which showed photos of the meals - fine if you were hungry but nothing especially tempting. The staff, however, were friendly and hard-working. Uninspired by the menu (mostly served with fries), two of our party elected not to eat at all, settling for a soft drink (they are very overpriced). The rest of us ordered main meals and they were OK but nothing to rave about. This was such a contrast to all of our other meals this holiday that it came as quite a shock. I was not expecting much if anything from a restaurant catering to tourist crowds visiting the Cave, but my lunch was incredible. Perfectly prepared fresh trout, fresh salad and fries. I wish I could return!

Probably the worst place I have visited in France..........ever. The service was non existing and the food tasteless. Definitely not worth a visit.

Nothing special to say about it. I took the waffle with cerise jam and my father the ice cream, and they were both good. Closed in the evening.

We stopped there while waiting for our time-slot at the Gouffre de Padirac. The Ice-cream were good and the staff polite.
