Platia - Réservation de table

Wir sind neu in Unterrath und testen gerade diverse Restaurants durch. Uns wurde Platia von Bekannten als bester Grieche in Düsseldorf ans Herz gelegt. Voller Spannung sind wir also dahin und nahmen draußen Platz an einem Tisch, der uns zugewiesen wurde, also wusste man theoretisch, dass es neue Gäste gibt. Leider hat es etwa 10 Minuten gedauert, bis endlich mal ein Kellner kam und uns die Karten brachte und dann direkt wieder verschwand hier hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass man wenigstens erstmal nachfragt, was man Trinken möchte (was üblicherweise der Fall sein sollte, kurz nach dem man Platz genommen hat). Not very impressed by this restaurant. It has an interior of a chanteen, welcome is very friendly and swift. Immediately got a drink and after I ordered from the Greek/German menu the food also arrived quickly. Very tastefull chicken soup; the best food of the evening. After that I got a free fresh salad which was simply but tasty due to a strong dressing. The main course was more German then Greek. Big pieces of fish (perfectly cooked I must admit!) but the batter was not crunchy at all. A lot of Western vegetables floating in oil to go with the fish. This is the second time that I have visited the Platia while on a business trip to Düsseldorf. The premises are clean and comfortable and the nice greeting from the waiter is welcome after a hard day's work.Traveling alone, I find it pleasurable to take evening dinner at this restaurant and have found the dishes chosen to be tasty, fresh and of a good size....a much better option to take instead of eating junk food at the exhibition centre.A complimentary glass of Ouzo is also served with the first course which is a nice touch.The Platia is well worth a visit, though not particularly cheap, the food served and the variety available are well worth the price.Recommended.

Das bereits mehrfach erwähnte Ambiente ist wirklich eine Katastrophe. Es lädt nicht wirklich zum Verweilen ein. Der Service ist nett und auf Zack. Das Essen war in Ordnung, wobei ich hier sagen muss, dass es bei anderen Griechen mehr in gleicher Qualität um einiges günstiger gibt. 90 Euro für zwei Personen ist schon happig. We go there every so often and are always happy. Last week we had the moussaka and the salmon and both dishes were delicious. Also the tsatsiki was better as we remembered. Have never been disappointed there!

Das Essen war recht lecker, der offene Rotwein sehr schwer. Vom letzteren rate ich ab. Der Kellner war nett, aber manchmal nicht auf Zack. Rundum ein gutes Restaurant mit Potential nach oben.

Sehr schönes, helles Restaurant; grosser Biergarten, gutes Essen, was will man mehr, ausser vielleicht ein paar Parkplätze mehr zu Stosdzeiten, ansonsten kommt in Scharen

I go there every time when I'm in the city. Lovely food, nice atmosphere and helpful staff. The price is also reasonable.
