Just had a fantastic meal at this place! It's cliche but I have to call it a hidden gem! The food was so unbelievable delicious! Was here a year ago while at the fun East Northport festival. Decided to stop in again. Was not even close to being disappointed. The place was filling up quickly with the festival underway. The bar tenders were friendly and immediately greeted us through busy (which is a must as far as I'm concerned) and they turned out to be excellent. We started with the buttery lobster sliders...omg so fresh and buttery...no MP..only $20 and more lobster meat on the 3 sliders than most rolls anywhere. I visited Riley's in East Northport on Sunday, November 5, and it was a terrible experience. To be honest, a rating of 1 is too generous. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, my food arrived cold. My friend received her fish and chips before I got my salmon sandwich. The waitstaff seemed more focused on socializing at the bar than attending to customers. We had to request napkins, a plate, water, and ketchup. The customer service was nonexistent. One waitress was even wandering around in a wool cap and long sweater. Was not going to stay Then a wonderful friendly service person came over and then a friendly welcoming asst to her, lively crowd, amazing bartender and beautiful traditional Irish local spot, the edamame, fish, Sakata were served to temperature and brut out at right speed. Music overhead, lively robust crowd, and I felt safe here! Prices are comparable to local venues. Parking is sometimes a challenge. Remember, not everyone is having a great day, and know if one person disappoints other team members, make it up 100% ! The Veg Barley Risotto was delicious, my skirt steak was cooked to perfection.The portions of both were very generous.The side salad was nice size the best. Our server Louise L. was terrific, the owner has a gem in the cook Louise our server.thurs. 8/17 was the 1st time we ate there but not the last. Even the coffee was good. We took out a grill chicken sandwich for my son-law to eat for when he got home from work at 10. My husband and I recently moved to the area and stumbled upon Riley’s. We immediately loved the atmosphere, it was very clean. The staff was super nice and the bartender Paul was very friendly and made a great cocktail. The steak sandwich was the best we ever had. I really like how all their food is made fresh to order and they are very accommodating if you need to modify anything. I would definitely recommend this place, soon my husband and I will become regulars
The service was disappointing, from the bar to our table. I wish the bartender didn't have the smell of cigarettes lingering around him every time he walked by. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the positive reviews we'd seen before. We recently moved to the area and were looking forward to finding a local spot that was casual and welcoming. Regrettably, this place didn't meet our expectations.
