An unexpected find with an atmospheric cosy interior with a dim elegance and moody lighting. The interior atmosphere was reminscent of a Martin Scorsese movie scene! Service was attentive yet casual with a nice selection of wines and regional beers. The menu was varied and had a few vegetarian/ fish options that were agreeable to us. We chose the crispy artichoke hearts as a starter, which were sublimely fresh with a delicious lemon creamy sauce. We shared the salmon as our main with a side of curly kale. The salmon melted in your mouth and was cooked to utter perfection and was accompanied with a fresh corn salsa creamy mashed potato with a slight spike of horseradish. The kale was the only...
Four of us ate there last night and all agreed it was one of the best meals we ever had! Two ordered short ribs, one boulibaisse and one salmon.It doesn't look like much in the outside, but is warm and cozy inside. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We've been there for drinks as well. Great choices and great staff! You can't go wrong here.Parking: It's in the small village of Staatsburg with plenty of street parking.
The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable given the quality. The restaurant boasts one of the best bar menus around. The interior has a cozy atmosphere, although I did notice a bit of dust in some corners on the walls. Despite this minor issue, it remains one of the top dining spots in the area, and addressing the cleanliness would elevate the experience to near perfection.
This restaurant is one of the finest in the Hudson Valley. The ambiance, design, cuisine, and service all contribute to a truly memorable experience! The owner, Sergio, is fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough! We arrived without a reservation and thirty minutes before they closed and were treating like the most important guests in their charming restaurant. The hostess was charming, the waiter funny and knowledgeable and the food was superb.
