"Had to make reservations. Right on marina. Small place. Noisy kitchen. Couldn’t hear ourselves speak. Extremely expensive. $30 cod dinner. Although fresh caught. Husband got ray and it was mostly cartilage. It was my birthday. Asked for dessert menu. Never got one. Staff hurriedly and noisily cleaning tables as we waited for dessert menu. Left without dessert. It’s a boardwalk restaurant so I guess it’s normal."

Last night, we visited Rockfish Torquay after having to change our plans from going to the Brixham location due to the weather. We started with delicious oysters and whitebait, both of which met our high expectations from Rockfish. For our main courses, we enjoyed the catch of the day, which included Dover sole and brill fillet, as well as the battered Brixham hake. All of the dishes were excellent and came with unlimited chips. We also ordered mushy peas and jalapeno tartare sauce on the side. Despite being fairly quiet, Rockfish still had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks.

Lovely spot on the harbour. Absolutely love the concept that they only have fish available which has been caught that day! Tomorrows fish is still in the sea! The staff were so lovely, really knowledgeable and accommodating. Our son only eats one thing which we bring with us and they brought us some milk to go with it which was very kind. The fish we ordered was absolutely outstanding, fresh and cooked perfectly. I ordered mine with a side of ceasar salad which I loved. My partner had the bottomless chips and seasonal greens. Really wish we had one closer because I can't stop thinking about that amazing fish!

After indulging in too much fried food and lacking vegetables in our diet since arriving in the UK, we were eager to find a restaurant in Torquay that offered fresh fish with vegetable side dishes. As we walked along the harbor, we discovered Rockfish, which had outdoor seating, space heaters, and a wide selection of fresh dishes. The food was delicious - I enjoyed the fish tacos while my husband had the mussels, and the portions were generous. The service was attentive and friendly, and the location was perfect. If we find ourselves back in Torquay, we will definitely make a point to dine at Rockfish again.

After been recommended this place by locals we were looking forward to eating here. Greeted by a very lovely helpful dark haired waitress unfortunately she was replaced by a blonde waitress who could not of cared less. Food scallops and white bait starter scallops dry. Fish of the day 6/10 chips 3/10 new potatoes 8/10 fish tacos 0/10 the waitress could clearly see how much we had left and asked how was your meal? I said ok at which she asked oh good would you like a dessert, paid the bill of £90 and left. Definitely would not recommend.
