Popped in for lunch with a friend, no complaints about the food but the hygiene is certainly questionable. The young lady serving was pleasant enough and engaging, but appeared to forget her role as soon as dogs came into the cafe. Yes, dogs into a very small cafe, where some owners felt that their dogs didn't require to be on a lead, so they would come over to the table we were eating our food at and try to jump up. No apologies or reprimands, just blatant ignorance. Then when not serving, the young lady sat herself on the floor to pet the various dogs, only getting up when necessary to serve, but sadly without washing her hands from petting dogs, not to mention getting up from the floor. Got a nice takeaway coffee from a friendly member of staff on my way into Torquay from Torre Station. Saved my pennies in town to support this local business on my way home but the same person refused to sell me a bagel as they shut in 20 mins . So I walked out past two people tucking into fresh hot food and travelled all the way back to Exeter grumoy and hungry. I would've been happy with a takeaway. So be careful when you get there I guess.

A return visit to this charming, rustic and unique café. Clearly supported by locals. Music on vinyls. Great coffee. Generously filled sandwiches in fresh hand cut chunky bread. Very good soup of the day. Water brought to the table upon arrival. Very Aotearoa New Zealand. Comfy sofas and chairs. No plastic plants. At the better end of Union Street.

Seem to have decent coffee, situation and set up but just chucked it in a cup for what was actually a very average cup of coffee. For an out and out coffee shop I'd expect great coffee with a lot of care and interest in getting it right. Was too hot and a taste which to be honest is just comparable to costa as opposed to a specialist coffee place. Réservez une table maintenant

We visit the Noble Tree regularly and are never disappointed. The coffee here is superb. Beautifully prepared, nectar of the gods. Additionally, the proprietor, Tracy is so welcoming and friendly and prepares delicious food. There is a menu but her approach is 'If i 've got it available then you can have it .Absolutely our favourite place to go.

On holiday and decided to try them for lunch, as we like to visit independent cafes. We were not disappointed. The coffee was excellent, and the panini delicious. We enjoyed our lunch so much that on our way back to the car later in the afternoon, we visited again for coffee and cake! Staff lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely wonderful independent cafe with fantastic service! Coffee is amazing offering a variety of different blends and the food is delicious at an extremely affordable price. Incredible panni’s, bagels, the most scrumptious crumpets and more. Super cosy atmosphere it’s the perfect breakfast/lunch spot!

Found this lovely cafe in Torre after shopping at M&S Torquay, big floppy sofas, and delicious coffee, the food looked really good too, must go back next week when properly open I would have loved to have chilled out there for a while
