On a hot and humid summer's evening, you could be forgiven for giving this place a miss because there's no obvious signs of somewhere outdoors to sit and eat. But don't walk by, go in and through the seating area towards the bar and you'll find an outdoor terrace with just as many seats outside as there is inside. The menu is extensive and typically German with a local Schwabian flavour and there's even an English language menu available on request. Despite being very busy, we were served promptly and our food came out quickly although a couple of beers from their own brewery (located in nearby Ludwigsburg) helped to pass the time. Went here on Friday for a drink, had a lovely time. Booked a table for 2 to return the following night. My partner ordered the pork skillet which is a pork knuckle and it arrived stone cold. I kid you not!! The waiter took it away to be cooked .... by the time it returned I'd finished my meal. So much for a nice meal for 2!! The waiter brought us a shot glass with schnapps and lager in it for free. Hmmmm. Ok.
Went for dinner witha group of 20 people. Service was relatively quick. We were placed in two separate tables which breaks a bit the group. Reervation was done well in advance.I left with a feeling that in this restaurant it was ore of quantity - not he quality. It was ok but most of us left half of the food untouched.
this restaurant in the restored burg has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. the menu included authentic German specialties and delicious vegetarian elements. in fact, we liked this restaurant so much that we have returned for a second visit on this trip.

the favourite beer garden of our host. large old building with stones, huge wooden beams, balcony...tons of atmosphere. eating is pretty good, but it's German beer garden life. service is excellent
Not bad, not too good. I had very nice time here, waiters were nice, food arrived in reasonable time, taking into account that restaurant was full. Menu is typically German.
Good value and not bad food, nothing makes you say great but nothing says bad either. You can get more for your money and with more tasyte but as i said nothing bad??!!
Visited on each of my business visits in 2015 to Bietigheim. Swabian noodles are something have never had before and highly recommended!

The menu is typically german! The highlight is the beer! They produce their own beer, and it is delicious! I recommend it!
During my stay in Bitisheim-Bissigen I was eating there 3 times. Every dish I took tested very good. I'm recommending it!
