We waited for 2 hours only to receive the wrong order - and apparently it was our fault! We ordered salt and pepper chicken but received salt and pepper chips instead. When we called to complain, the attitude we received was disgraceful. They wanted us to return the chips in order to give them to another customer, and they also wanted extra money for the mistake. Instead of just adding the 80p for the chips to our meal, they added the cost of fried rice on top of it, asking for an extra £3.80. On top of that, they also charged us for the delivery fee again. This kind of behavior is absolutely disgusting and we will never be dining there again. This used to be our preferred restaurant, but no...
We ordered a takeaway at approximately 7pm, I followed up with a call an hour later to check on its delivery time was told it was out for delivery. It turned up over 90 minutes after ordering was partially wrong cold. I called was offered no apology but a free boiled rice when it was a fried rice missing. On checking it’s now also apparent that they suffer with a very poor hygiene rating. There are plenty of choices locally for Chinese takeaway food, I’d avoid the Royal Chef if possible as they clearly don’t value your custom struggle to manage hygiene to an acceptable level.
Last night, I ordered £30 worth of food from this restaurant. I got two portions of salt and pepper king prawns, but both were inedible. They were supposed to be salty, but they tasted like nothing I've ever tried before. When I complained, I was told that sometimes a portion can be salty, but this was not just one odd piece, the whole portion was inedible. I will never order from this restaurant again, as it was a waste of money and the customer service was poor.
We ordered as a family, over the phone. Luckily I had cash on me, as when we got there to collect, they said they don’t take cards!! They should have said this when ordering. We ordered a variety of food, including sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, chow mein, fried rice, chips etc. The food was nice and the portions were good and the complimentary prawn crackers were lovely. Ordered online. Collected ourselves. Very good quality food, containers really full. More expensive than some takeaways, but really worth paying extra . Ordered a King Prawn and Chicken Curry , and the container was packed full of prawns and Chicken. The sweet n sour chicken fed 3 hungry people as did the beef chow mein.
