I hadn't visited a Rubio's, or even seen one, since I left San Diego in 2000. I must say, they've really elevated the Mexican fish taco and fast-casual dining concept to a whole new level, and they’ve done it impressively. Huzzah! From the decor and cleanliness to the service and the fresh, made-to-order food, everything was fantastic. We spoke with a lovely young lady named Paola, who chatted with my mom and me after I had just flown in from Maryland. She shared that the company plans to expand to 70 locations across Florida in the near future. I wish them the best of luck with their growth. They’ve done an excellent job with this location, and I hope all their others are just as good!
After being without Rubio's for over 8 years, I was thrilled to hear they were opening a location in Tampa. I counted down the days to the grand opening, even braving a terrible storm to get there, and I've returned many times since. There’s no other place in Tampa that offers the same level of freshness for fish tacos or any seafood burrito or taco; it really is fantastic! The quality is just as impressive as it was in California, and the service is exceptional. While you might have to wait a little while for your food, that’s only because everything is made to order and not sitting around under warming lights for long. If you haven't been yet, you definitely need to check it out!
I am originally from San Diego....I'm used to going to Rubio's when I'm visiting California. This one was very good it reminded my hubby and I of . Very authentic fish tacos. Everything we ordered was yummy. We wish there were one closer to Lithia Florida, but we will definitely return on where in the area.

Hotel shuttle driver recommended was he right! Argentinian Shrimp Bowl was good sized but not heavy, very tasty. I immediately looked for a location in the St Pete Beach area. Only in Tyrone Square Mall in St Petersburg. Ok, I’ll make the drive! Worth it!
This Coastal Trio is what I had upon my visit and each variation of fish tacos I had were simply wonderful! I highly recommend to anyone passing by to stop and enjoy a Corona and some fish tacos when you have the chance.
Never anything less than impressive. I've been coming here since it's opened, several times a month, and the food/service is always great. It gets very busy during weekday lunch, but it is always worth the wait.
This place has the best seafood tacos I have ever had. Great Customer service. Fast Fresh food.
