I am a self proclaimed Vietnamese specialist and I wont pay $25 for a Pho. Food: EXCELLENT.. no doubt about that! But you dont charge $25 for a Pho in this city (or even in this country! where you get equally excellent Pho for within $20 (thats the high end Crab Banh Mi was underwhelming for the price. Crab quality could be better.. So my rating is completely based on the ROI.. its good food but over priced for Vietnamese, in a city that offers many excellent pho joints
We loved our meal at Saigon Social. Everything we had was so flavorful and interesting. We particularly enjoyed the steamed rice cakes and garlic noodles with prawns — the noodles have a really unique, almost smokey flavor. Also, very friendly and helpful service.
The phogroni is a work of art. The food is very good, but you can probably get better pho at less hip/trendy spots in town for half the price. Still worth a trip for the rice cakes alone.

Ribs are excellent, bun cha pretty good, and they are willing to swap things for dietary restrictions
Dry oxtail rice. Cold, tough garlic noodles. Absolutely does not deserve to be on NY Top 100 list.
Amazing flavors in this tiny LES hole in the wall. Don’t miss the Saigon salad and garlic noodles
